Thomas J. Korge, III, graduated from the Levin College of Law at the University of Florida and was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2010. Upon graduation, Thomas returned home to Miami, joining the law firm of Lydecker/Diaz, LLP, where he spent the several years practicing law with the firm’s complex litigation department handling commercial and financial litigation. In 2013, he joined Korge & Korge.

Thomas has extensive experience in estate and end-of-life planning, guiding clients through wills, trusts, pour-over provisions, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives. He is well-versed in probate and trust administration, overseeing estates ranging from small family distributions to complex multi-million dollar bequests. Additionally, he has successfully resolved multiple disputes involving multi-million dollar estates.

In addition to estate matters, he has played a key role representing the Florida Department of Financial Services in connection with major insurance insolvencies, addressing director and officer liability, accounting malpractice, and bankruptcy. He has also represented the FDIC in recovering funds from negligent bank officers and directors. His practice includes transactional work, corporate structuring, litigation, and general counsel representation for businesses and charities. Additionally, he has defended the City of Coral Gables against liability claims and represented clients in disputes over denied or underpaid insurance claims.

Mr. Korge currently practices primarily in the areas of estate planning, probate, civil litigation, business law, and transactions.
